The Laboratory of Network Development for Rare Diseases coordinates a Helpline service and scientific/informative documentation available to patients and health professionals.

These tasks are integral part of the of the Coordinating Centre of the Regional Network for Rare Diseases. The Laboratory shares best practices with other regional information services and the National Rare Disease Centre team (Rare Disease Helpline) at Istituto Superiore di Sanità in Rome.

It carries out support and collaboration activities with the patient’s Associations dedicated to rare diseases, in particular aimed at training and raising awareness of health workers and citizens about the needs of rare disease patients.
